Why Do Christians Curse the Darkness?

As I look through the expanse of Christianity it seems that some well meaning Christians are misguided about their role in this world. Many think that marching, protesting and getting a bullhorn and ranting and railing against “sin” is the solution. Yet God has always looked for HIS people to be the solution by turning to HIM.
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God does NOT call sinners to cleanse the land, but his people. We are supposed to be the “salt” of the Earth. In this verse God has summoned HIS people, Israel, a chosen people, a nation.  Nothing has changed in this regard for God after the cross and resurrection of Christ still refers to HIS people as a nation and priesthood to show forth HIS glory.
1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1Pe 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
God further qualifies this summons when HE says “called by my name”, in this verse that phrase is the Hebrew word:
Strong's H8034 - shem שֵׁם
1) name
a) name
b) reputation, fame, glory
c) the Name (as designation of God)
d) memorial, monument
HIS people, Christians are suppose to carry about the “reputation, fame and glory” of God. Now think about that statement, if we knew we had such “treasure” in these earthen vessels, we would realize we are THE CHANGE, the world needs to see, we contain within these vessels, these temples, the solution. When you realize when God said “Light Be”, the environment had to change from darkness to light, just by the summons of God.  So with this in mind, I am miffed at why Christians spend so much time cursing at the darkness and complaining about the world and highlighting the exploits of the devil. Why talk about serpents when you should tread on them.
Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
I feel we have too much stagnation in the BODY of Christ, too much commentating about the evil in this nation and in the world and NOT enough Christians called by HIS name, in a posture for God to heal the land. The next phrase we see in the passage is God says we should “humble ourselves”, how can one be humble before God if they are always in the seat of judgment?
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The phrase “shall humble”
Strong's H3665 - kana` (Hebrew)
1) to be humble, be humbled, be subdued, be brought down, be low, be under, be brought into subjection
a) (Niphal)
1) to humble oneself
2) to be humbled, be subdued
b) (Hiphil)
1) to humble
2) to subdue
We have to be under the subjection of the headship of Christ,
subject (sbjkt)
1. Being in a position or in circumstances that place one under the power or authority of another or others
If we are in a position of subjection to HIS authority, connected to the vine then we have access through HIM to the same level of authority over the earth.
Hbr 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing [that is] not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
Now with this in mind why would we STILL be complaining about what is going on in the world or enamored with what the wicked may be trying to do or doing?
The next step in the process is that we must “pray, and seek my face”.
Strong's H6419 - palal
1) to intervene, interpose, pray
When was the last time you have seen the BODY of Christ pray for the “situation”, pray for “intervention”? All too often we just “talk about the situation”, and write off the “sinners” to hell, as if we can’t wait to see this world burn.
Luk 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself
How can we say we love God and YET we wish our neighbor a trip to hell, and yes the so called sinner is our neighbor? If we loved our neighbor as ourselves we would “pray and seek intervention”, the same intervention that Christ so lavishly bestowed upon us.
The next part of the passage implores us to “seek HIS face”
Strong's H1245 - baqash
1)     to seek, require, desire, exact, request
Then as we seek and find, and knock then we must remember our hearts must turn back to HIM:
Turn - Strong's H7725 - shuwb
1)     to return, turn back

You will even find in the book of Revelations Christ is calling HIS church, HIS people to return back to HIM.
Rev 2:4   Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
That “first love” is the same love found in the first and greatest commandment.
Mat 22:37   Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38   This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39   And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40   On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The reasons WHY we see the world in the state that is in is not just because of sinners and sin but because the “salt” and “light” are not on duty. We seem to be unable to get to the part of the passage where God heals the land because we get stuck in the process, at the part where it requires us to LOVE. We get our salvation and we are like “to HELL with everybody else” literally. As we are summoned to turn we are also told in this process to turn from our “wicked ways”, those things we do that are not pleasing to HIM.
Strong's H7451 - ra`
1) bad, evil
a) bad, disagreeable, malignant
b) bad, unpleasant, evil (giving pain, unhappiness, misery)
There is so much pain and misery in the “church”, because of hardened hearts and stiff necks. Yet if we complete the process, HIS WAY then we will see:
2Ch 7:14 “Then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
If we are in the land, and WE do right the land will prosper. Remember it was the righteousness of Joseph that saved Egypt, whenever God’s people are in order the land gets in order. It does not matter if your land is your “house”, neighborhood, community, city, state or nation. When the people of God do what they are called to do according to HIS purpose.
Eph 3:9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things,
Eph 3:10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
Eph 3:11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
